Parents of EJM Alumni
Keep the connection alive
Parents of EJM Alumni is an “association loi 1901” under French Law. It was created in 2010 by a small group of parents from École Jeannine Manuel Paris. The aim was to maintain a connection once their children graduated from high school. Therefore, they established an association that operates independently from the Parent Association, namely the Friends of EABJM association.
Fifteen years on, the association adopted a new name and began to more fully integrate the Lille and London parents communities with shared activities and events. This association’s expansion wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of local Parent Associations and a handful of alumni parents who saw the benefit of coming together.
An international circle of friendship and support
The association now includes members across nearly every continent, whose children attended École Jeannine Manuel for just a few years or stayed from Moyenne section (preschool) through Terminale (final year of high school).
Parents have always exchanged practical information, tips, and tricks to cope well with their children’s departure and to support them on the path to independence. Parents of EJM Alumni is leveraging technology to offer new collaboration platforms and facilitate information sharing: an independent website, a growing WhatsApp community, and hybrid events. All these new initiatives to strengthen a widespread circle of international friendship and support.
